House of the Seven Gables are exquisite poker playing cards, inspired by the Turner-Ingersoll Mansion, a seven gabled mansion in Salem, Massachusetts, belonging to Hawthorne’s cousin Susanna Ingersoll, as well as ancestors of Hawthorne who had played a part in the Salem Witch Trials of 1692. Both tucks are manufactured with an excuisite composition of matte cream and metallic foils. The Lazarus edition tuck features gold, copper and black foil applied and richly embossed on a special dark brown stock. A truly unique and exclusive box that will stand out in any collection. Interior silver foil as well! No tearing of the seal, no disturbance of the peace. The numbered tuck seals of House of Seven Gablesare positioned at the tuck bottoms in a trademarked custom shape and displaying the unique number for each deck out of the limited print run. The character illustrations represent the residents of the House of Seven Gables mansion, all engaged with important duties and tasks. The characters are the same in the two editions, but presented with different color schemes; a colored variant (Lazarus) and an achromatic variant (Eleazar).
